There are no accounts, no comments and no forms here, and nothing you do on this site is tied to a name. No ads, no tracking pixels, no embedded players from other companies.
What is kept on your device
Two small values are saved in your browser's local storage, on this device only:

tcr.lastVisitAt— when you last left, so the bell can count what has arrived since. -
tcr.lastPlayedId— the last note you started, so it stays marked for you.
They never leave your device and no server sees them. They are functional rather than tracking: nothing about what you listen to is sent anywhere, and no profile is built from them. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them. If your browser blocks local storage, the site still works — it simply forgets between visits.
Forget my visit, at the bottom of the ribbon, clears both values so every note counts as new again. It also leaves one short-lived marker in your browser's session storage, which your browser discards on its own when you close the tab.
Analytics
This site uses Plausible, which counts visits without following people. It records aggregate figures only: which page was opened, where the visit came from, the country, and the kind of device. It sets no cookies, does not build a profile, does not follow you to other websites, and does not collect anything that identifies you.
Because it stores nothing on your device, there is no consent banner. What Plausible holds is described in its privacy policy and data policy.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the request in order to send you the files; what it handles as the host is described in Cloudflare's privacy policy. Nothing about that changes the local-storage or analytics behaviour described above.
The notes themselves
Voice notes and photographs are published as ordinary files, readable by anyone who has the link. That is the point of the site. Please only send a note you would be happy to have in public.
